Poplar Point Lighthouse
Location: Wickford, Rhode Island
Accessibility: This lighthouse is not open to the public
Established: 1831; Present lighthouse built: 1831; Discontinued: 1882
Construction material: Wood
Height of focal plane: 48 feet
Lighthouse is privately owned.

Plum Point Lighthouse
Location: West passage of Narragansett Bay
Accessibility: The lighthouse is not open to the public and is best viewed by boat, it can also be seen as you drive over the Jamestown Bridge.
Station established: 1899; Present lighthouse built: 1899; Discontinued: 1941
Construction material: Cast iron
Height of tower: 53 feet; Height of focal plane: 54 feet
Lighthouse is owned by: Friends of Plum Beach Lighthouse, Inc., North Kingstown, RI
Characteristics: Solar powered beacon flashing every five seconds with a one second duration followed by four seconds of darkness.
Active U.S. Coast Guard aid to navigation.

Dutch Island Lighthouse
Location: West passage of Narragansett Bay
Accessibility: The lighthouse is not open to the public and is best seen by boat.
Station established: 1826; Present lighthouse built: 1857; Discontinued: 1979; Relighted 2007
Construction material: Brick
Height of tower: 42 feet; Height of focal plane: 56 feet
Other buildings still standing: Small concrete storage building, remains of cistern.
Lighthouse is owned by: Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management.
Characteristics: Red light; two seconds on and four seconds off.
Active U.S. Coast Guard aid to navigation.

Whale Rock Lighthouse
Location: The entrance of the West Passage of Narragansett Bay
Nearest town: Narragansett
Station established: 1882; Destroyed: 1938 Hurricane

Beavertail Lighthouse
Location: Jamestown, Conanicut Island, Narragansett Bay
Accessibility: The grounds are open to the public, and there is a museum in the assistant keeper's house. The tower is not open to the public.
Station established: 1749; Present lighthouse built: 1856; Automated: 1972
Construction material: Granite
Height of tower: 53 feet; Height of focal plane: 54 feet
Other buildings still standing: 1856 keeper's house, 1898 assistant keeper's house, oil house, storage building, garage.
Museum in the keeper's house maintained by: Beavertail Lighthouse Museum Association.
Characteristics: Flashing white every six seconds; Fog signal: One blast every 30 seconds.
Active U.S. Coast Guard aid to navigation.

Castle Hill Lighthouse
Location: Newport, Rhode Island in the East passage of Narragansett Bay
Accessibility: The lighthouse is not open but the grounds are adjacent to the Castle Hill Inn and are open to the public.
Station established: 1890; Present lighthouse built: 1890; Automated: 1957
Construction material: Granite
Height of tower: 34 feet
Characteristics: Six seconds red alternating with six seconds darkness.
Active U.S. Coast Guard aid to navigation.

Lime Rock Lighthouse (Ida Lewis Yacht Club)
Location: Newport Harbor
Accessibility: The yacht club is not open to the general public on a regular basis. Best views are from the harbor.
Station established: 1854; Discontinued: 1927 (relighted later as a private aid)
Construction material: Stone
Height of tower: 13 feet; Height of focal plane: 30 feet
Present optic: Lantern in original tower, lit May to October.
Building is now the Ida Lewis Yacht Club

Newport Harbor Lighthouse (Goat Island Light)
Location: Newport Harbor
Accessibility: The yacht club is not open to the general public on a regular basis. Best views are from the harbor.
Station established: 1823; Present lighthouse built: 1842; Automated: 1963
Construction material: Granite
Height of tower: 35 feet
Characteristic: Fixed green
Managed by: American Lighthouse Foundation, ME
Active U.S. Coast Guard aid to navigation.

Rose Island Lighthouse
Location: North of Newport Harbor
Accessibility: Rose Island is accessible by ferry from Newport or Jamestown.
Station established: 1870; Present lighthouse built: 1870; Deactivated: 1971 - 1992, relighted 1993
Construction material: Wood with masonry foundation
Height of tower: 35 feet; Height of focal plane: 48 feet
Characteristics: Flashing white every six seconds
Other buildings still standing: 1912 brick oil house, fog signal building.
Private aid to navigation/guest house. Managed by: Rose Island Lighthouse Foundation
